Hi Guys! I’m introducing the newest member of our skinfood collection! I’m finally happy with the final results and am ready to share this decadent and unique formula with you! I’m literally obsessed with this new product! I know that a mother should love all of her children the same and I love everything I make, but some of them are my favorites and Eye Nectar is definitely in that bunch!

This hyper-potent and creamy eye balm targets sagging and severe wrinkles as well as under eye bags to help restore a dewy and lifted look. The formula of this balm is exceptionally hydrating, anti-inflammatory and calming to even the most delicate and sensitive skin. The balm will melt into your skin with its nourishing goodness!

It will take a minute, but bear with me, I want to share with you why I chose these specific ingredients for this wonderful balm.

First, this balm is high in Vitamin E as it is one of the best nutrients for the skin. I formulated with a totally natural, non-gmo, non-synthetic and highly bioavailable form of vitamin E for maximum absorption benefits. Vitamin E is absorbed by the epidermis and aids to speed up cell regeneration which is absolutely helpful against scars and wrinkles.

Hibiscus oil enhances the skin’s ability to retain moisture, it is very rich in Vitamin C and the antioxidant myricetin. This compound actually assists to suppress the enzyme called collagenase, which degrades collagen over time, and can help with diminishing age spots.

Goji berry seed oil is so vital with skin-enriching Vitamin C, Vitamin A, Omega 6 and palmitic acid. Goji berries naturally contain high amounts of Vitamin A (retinol). According to many research papers,  topical Vitamin A has been shown to aid in minimizing fine wrinkles and reducing hyperpigmentation.

Schisandra berries have been used in Chinese medicine for ages and finally now gained popularity in the western world. These beautiful peppercorn-sized berries help support healthy cellular function and stabilize cell membranes, preventing and protecting against environmental damage.

If you’re seasoned ‘skinfooder,’ and have tried our Siesta Sunset or Hemp Revival, you know how much I love Sea Buckthorn oil! Sea buckthorn berries are the single highest plant source of Vitamin C, Vitamin E, as well as super rare Omega 7, and are very high in beta carotene (hence the deep orange color). So, imagine why it’s one my favorite oils ever! All of these amazing nutrients effectively support collagen production to make sure we have happy and healthy skin and age gracefully!

The Uva Ursi was included for its natural source of hydroquinone. This is the compound that helps to lighten the appearance of skin, which is especially effective in helping to reduce the appearance of dark spots.

The Eye Nectar is the only product in our family to have some mushrooms! The main reason why I chose to include Reishi is because of their very well-known skin lightener, Kojic Acid, as well as their ability to help balance pH and lipid levels. I also included them to get the advantage of Beta Glucans, which are polysaccharides, that especially Reishi mushrooms are high in.

Together with Arnica oil they have the power to help reduce puffiness and inflammation. They are also considered to be adoptogenic and by strengthening the skin barrier definitely help with the whole aging gracefully process!

We all know that Elderberries are full of amazing nutrients like vitamins A, B, C and E, which all of them help make the skin firmer.

Passionfruit is another powerhouse when it comes to vitamins and minerals that help feed the epidermis layer.

I hope you can see why this balm is a true Nectar for your eyes!

To use you really need a tiny amount, dab it gently around your eyes avoiding the eye itself. It is very rich, which I love and have myself been using day and night with my excitement and being thrilled with the results! But you may find that you want to use it only at night and in the morning keep using Eye Candy or Eye of Youth, it is really everyone’s personal preference and mixing it up can have its benefits!

I promise you, you’ll love this creamy balm goodness!

One personal side-note to end with -- as I try to research and find ingredients that work wonders for the skin and act as “anti-aging,”   I don’t want to give this word a bad connotation. I do want to emphasize that I strive for aging healthfully and gracefully not only with my skincare but also with my lifestyle. I want you to remember that aging is a good thing, it is a privilege that is denied to so many.  I’m happy that I turned 50 this year, I surely want to live to be 80, 90 and beyond, but our greatest happiness comes from cherishing each day and aging gracefully in our wonderful life and relations!
