Feeling the SKINFOOD Love (and Gratitude) through AGING!
This birthday felt extra special—one of those moments you just want to freeze in time. I was surrounded by my most precious people: my son flew in all the way from Colorado, and my mom made the trip from Florida to celebrate with me. My heart was so full.
I’m endlessly thankful for my biological family—and just as much for our SanRe family. Truly. This little dream of creating skinfood, sharing it with you, and being part of such a kind, conscious, connected community... it still feels surreal sometimes. There’s nothing else I’d rather be doing, and I don’t take a minute of it for granted.
The Skin Shift: What Really Happens in Your 50s
As I walk through my early 50s, I’m learning to embrace all the unexpected shifts that come with this season of life. The hot flashes, the mood swings, the new lines on my face, the weight gain in the wrong places! One that truly caught me off guard? Dry skin. After decades of oily and combination skin, I didn’t think I’d ever find myself here—but here I am. Another chapter, another change. And while it may seem small in the grand scheme of things, it’s one more reminder that our bodies are always evolving and why I still so LOVE SanRe – for my own skin and yours!
I’m so incredibly grateful to have had the chance to create products that have not only helped so many others with graceful aging - but now help me too. Siesta Sunset, Lavender Dream, and C-Love have been absolute gifts for my skin—especially as it began to need deeper nourishment and support.
I don’t just make these products... I use them, I rely on them, and I pour love into every single batch. They’ve carried me through some of the hardest moments, and now they continue to support me as I age—with softness, hydration, and a little extra glow. Honestly, my skin thanks me every single day.
Golden Years, Glowing Skin—Grateful for SanRe Now More Than Ever
As many of you might already know, I discovered pickleball last year—and let’s just say, it’s become more than just a hobby. (My family would probably say I’m obsessed, and they’re not wrong! LOL) What I didn’t expect, though, was how deeply this game would connect me with so many incredible women, many in their 50s and beyond.
So here I am—no longer just empathizing with the “older” crowd, but officially stepping into this golden chapter myself. And you know what? I’m grateful for it. Deeply. Because, as I’ve said many times before, aging is a privilege—one that’s denied to far too many. So instead of resisting it, let’s honor it – but slowly ;-) .
With nourishing, organic skinfood and consistent rituals, we can support our skin in staying naturally vibrant and healthy for years to come. It’s not about reversing time—it’s about showing up for ourselves, at every stage, with love and organic skinfood support.
Bringing this back to Pickleball - what truly fills my heart is when, between matches and laughter, the ladies share how much SanRe has helped their skin. These aren’t just product reviews to me — the personal stories are my soul food. They remind me why I do what I do. And how beautiful it is to age, move, laugh, and care for ourselves—together.
Passing the Torch: Teaching the Next (Younger) Generation to Love Their Skin Naturally
And wow, am I thankful for my mother. She was the one encouraging me to care for my skin long before it was cool and trendy - planting the seed early on. That early ritual turned into a lifelong passion... And now, as I reflect on it, I realize how much SanRe has nourished and prepared my skin for the Golden Years :-)
Now it’s my turn—to pass the torch, to gently guide my daughter into building the kind of skincare rituals that will nourish her not just now, but for years to come. I want her, and all younger people, to embrace the beauty of real, organic ingredients… to understand that oils aren’t the enemy, but a gift when chosen wisely. I want her to feel empowered to read the labels, to know what she’s putting on her skin, and to care for it not out of fear—but out of love.
Watching her grow into her own version of womanhood, I’m reminded that these simple rituals are about so much more than glowing skin. They’re about honoring your body as it changes. And my hope is that she carries these habits with her—adapting and evolving them with each new chapter, just like I’ve had to. Because caring for your skin is really about caring for yourself. And that’s a lesson worth passing on.
Organic Isn’t a Trend. It’s How You Know What’s Truly Feeding Your Skin.
You Read the Ingredients in Your Food—Why Not Your Skincare? I truly can’t stress this enough—keeping your skincare chemical-free is everything. We just passed another intense USDA Certified Organic inspection (yes, the kind that digs deep into every ingredient and process), and I’m so proud to say our products continue to meet the highest standards. You deserve to know that what you’re putting on your skin is genuinely clean, safe, and nourishing—not just clever marketing with pretty packaging and empty promises. At SanRe, it’s what inside the jar that REALLY MATTERS —and your skin will thank you for it.
Aging Is a Privilege—Let’s Nourish It Together with SanRe
Getting older is not always graceful—it can be messy, uncomfortable, and full of surprises. But it’s also rich with wisdom, perspective, and the kind of growth that only time can give you. I’m here for flipping the script. For celebrating every wrinkle (softened by SanRe) that comes from a moment lived, every silver hair that reminds us we’re still here! I feel incredibly blessed to be alive—really alive—and surrounded by people I love and who love me back – and LOVE our shared SanRe products!
These days, I find myself layering in new wellness rituals, polishing the old ones, and paying closer attention to the little things that help me age with strength, softness, and energy. Will those rituals look the same next year? Maybe not. I’m always evolving. That’s the beauty of being a work in progress. No shame. No filters. Just an honest conversation about something we’re all going through, whether we’re ready or not. And I’m so grateful, both for myself and for you, that we have skinfood we can rely on, organic nourishment that keeps our skin hydrated, loved, and beautifully resilient for years to come.
Love and Health,
Sandra
