On Earth Day and in midst of quarantine and social-distancing for Covid-19, there’s plenty of time to reevaluate our lives… Are we happy where we are? What differences are we going to implement or our better Health, Happiness and that of our Vital Planet?
More than ever, the emphasis should first lay on our health and immune system! As many of you know, I was faced with stage 3 breast cancer and learned firsthand that health is one’s most valuable possession! It seems that there isn’t a continent of this beautiful planet that is not affected by the virus today, and for the majority of people, we’re living through our first Pandemic.
We’re all boosting immunity, distancing, sanitizing and praying for Corona to Soon Be Over! But once it is, are we going to STAY MORE CONSCIOUS about what are we eating, drinking and putting in/on our bodies, along with our Personal Impact on the Environment??!!
From what we know today, and per the WHO, most likely the Covid-19 virus originated from stressed wild or domesticated animals (a “zoonotic virus” along with SARS, Bird Flu, Swine Flu, Ebola, etc.). On March 26th the WHO strongly recommended to reduce risk of transmission of emerging pathogens from animals to humans in live animal markets or animal product markets. I’m really happy that China now introduced a ban on all farming and consumption of wild animals… But will it stick afterwards, and is it enough for our ongoing GLOBAL HEALTH ??!!
I think it’s becoming pretty obvious, that if nothing is personally changed, by all of us, we’ll continue to NEGATIVELY IMPACT our Health and Planet with ever growing Stress, Chronic Disease, Environmental Devastation – and yes – more Zoonotic Pandemics…
This coming EARTH DAY, let’s all use this Pandemic to Personally Pledge and Continue Enacting a more POSITIVE PATH for our Health and Planet!
