April Is Earth Month: What Japan, Cherry Blossoms, and Matcha Reminded Me About Nature’s Beauty! April always feels like a gentle invitation to slow down and appreciate the beauty around us. Since it’s Earth Month, I find myself reflecting even more deeply on how much the natural world gives us, not only in what we see, but in how it makes us feel. This year, that feeling has been especially strong after our recent travels to Japan. |

Our trip left such a lasting impression on me. Japan’s natural beauty is truly unforgettable, but what touched me most was the way nature is so deeply respected and celebrated there. We were incredibly lucky to visit during cherry blossom season, and it felt as if every city was bursting into bloom. Everywhere we went, there were soft clouds of pink and white blossoms transforming the landscape into something almost surreal. It was breathtaking. I found myself stopping over and over again just to take it in. There was something so joyful and moving about witnessing that kind of beauty on such a grand scale. I also deeply appreciated Japan’s gardens. They were simple, peaceful, and so thoughtfully designed. Nothing felt forced or excessive. Every stone, path, and plant seemed to have a purpose, and the overall feeling was one of calm and balance. |

I admired how tranquil these spaces were, and how they invited you to pause, breathe, and notice the details. It reminded me that some of the most beautiful things in life are also the most natural and understated. Traveling through Japan made me feel even more grateful for our planet and all of its wonders. Earth Month is such a meaningful time to celebrate that connection. It is a reminder to cherish the trees, the flowers, the gardens, the changing seasons, and all the small moments in nature that bring us peace. So much of what inspires me, both personally and professionally, comes from the earth. Mother Nature has always been at the heart of how I live, what I love, and what I create with SanRe. |

And of course, I cannot talk about Japan without talking about matcha. I have always loved green tea, but being in Japan took that appreciation to a whole new level. I loved seeing how much matcha is woven into everyday life and enjoyed in so many different forms. From traditional tea to breads, desserts, and ice cream, everything matcha felt both comforting and special. There is something about its beautiful green color, earthy flavor, and sense of ritual that I absolutely love. |

Matcha is also wonderful for us, which makes it even more enjoyable. It is rich in antioxidants, which help protect the body from free radicals and environmental stress. It is also known for supporting calm, focused energy, thanks to its natural combination of caffeine and L-theanine. And for skin, matcha can help support a healthier-looking complexion and help defend against visible signs of stress and fatigue. Its benefits are one of the reasons I have always been drawn to it. |

In fact, I created my Dawn Delight Moisturizer years ago with that same appreciation for matcha and plant-based nourishment, and it has been a favorite ever since. To me, Dawn Delight captures some of that same fresh, vibrant energy. It is a moisturizer I created to leave skin feeling nourished, radiant, and beautifully refreshed. So this Earth Month, lets all reflect and recall similar feelings like I had while walking through Japan -- surrounded by blossoms, peaceful gardens, and all the quiet beauty that nature offers so generously -- and implement such natural peace in our lives. For me, these harmonious and loving feelings remind be to pay attention, to be grateful, appreciate family and friends, cherish our bodies, and to continue honoring the earth with in the choices I make and the products I create. There is so much beauty here for us to care for, celebrate, and protect! Happy Earth Month! With love, |
