Happy Earthday!
With global warming being such an important issue to our society, many businesses these days are seeking to change their practices, especially the chemicals and substances they use in their products, in order to make a more positive impact on our environment and our health.

With so many choices, it’s easy to be confused about the best products that can truly impact our planet’s future. SanRe Organic SkinFood is one way you can make a difference. By choosing items with certified organic ingredients, you can be sure that the ingredients are being grown with the smallest possible impact on our environment. But what other changes can you make in your life? Even though the Earth is a big place, every little bit you can do to take care of it is very important. Here are a few simple things you can do to make your human footprint on our Earth smaller:

  • Use alternatives to household cleaning items that do not use hazardous chemicals---it’s cheaper AND safer!
  • Take shorter showers…set a timer if you need to!
  • Use reusable cloth bags for shopping; keep them in your car.
  • Use rechargeable batteries, instead of disposable ones
  • Turn off your lights and any electronics when not in use
  • Use rags or hand towels instead of paper towels or napkins.
  • Avoid disposable plates, cups and utensils.
  • Buy fruits and veggies loose, and not in plastic bags.
  • Recycle paper products (newspaper, office paper, cardboard, etc), aluminum, glass, tin, steel, plastic, batteries and everything else possible.
  • Use reusable containers to store food in your refrigerator instead of wrapping food in aluminum foil, plastic wrap, or using zip-loc bags
  • Mend and repair, rather than discard and replace.
  • Pick up litter when you walk, and support litter pick-up days in your neighborhood.
  • Plant trees in your community.
  • Hang your clothes out to dry whenever possible…the sun is a natural alternative to bleach.
  • Put plastic bottles filled with water and rocks (for weight) in your toilet tank to conserve water each time you flush.
  • Try to find alternative means of transportation as often as possible to conserve gas, and decrease air pollution.
  • Buy a water bottle for yourself. Refill, use it, and carry it with you at all times, so you don’t have to waste money and plastic on a disposable water bottle when you’re thirsty.
  • Strive to buy only recycled products.

These things are easy to get started with. Once you begin, you will start to look for other ways to make a difference. Remember to encourage family members and friends to do the same.
